Heidi is a wife and mother of two small children. She has been teaching fitness in many forms for well over ten years. In addition, in 2004 she completed her first marathon (Cleveland) and her second in the same year (Phila). Recently, out of a desire to focus on more than "physical well being in her teachings", she opened her own fitness and yoga studio. She is a certified trainer of "Yoga Fit."
Upon speaking with anyone fortunate enough to have Heidi as an instructor, you quickly learn of the impact which Heidi has on her students. It's far more than strength which she inspires in all her female students, although all will admit that you would be challenged to find a more physically demanding class. She inspires not only physical excellence but more importantly mental and nutritional excellence as well. Classes end with meditation including "poser" readings which challenge all students to love themselves and live positive, inspiring lives. Class ends with "share time" which provides students a chance to talk about their experience during that particular class.
Her affect on those she teaches is significant, with most of her students being working mom's with more than their share of the responsibilities. She is a true inspiration to all she touches.
This fall, Heidi will be running the Chicago marathon for the first time.
