Don Jacobs
Redding, CA

Don started running in 1975 when he became a Game Warden for the State of California as a way to stay in shape, as he patrolled in a vehicle. Don had never run before this time. As years passed he became more interested in running and started entering local races, up to and including half marathons. In 1999, he represented his Department in the Police Olympics in Stockholm, Sweden, in the half marathon which ended inside the 1912 Olympic Stadium in front of the King and Queen. Don then ran his first marathon for the Leukemia Society, Sacramento Chapter at the Vancouver International and did a sub four at the age of 53. This led him to three more marathons and even a couple of Ultras.
